Donation Refund Policy
Last updated: August 26, 2026
Donations to Akonoba Foundation, Inc. are voluntary charitable gifts, and every gift is put to work supporting our mission. We understand that mistakes happen — a wrong amount, an accidental duplicate, or a change of mind shortly after giving. This policy explains how we handle those situations.
Requesting a refund
If you believe a donation was made in error — for example, the wrong amount was entered, a gift was accidentally duplicated, or the donation was unauthorized — please contact us as soon as possible through our contact page. Include the email address used at checkout and, if you have it, the confirmation reference from your receipt, so we can locate the transaction quickly.
How requests are reviewed
We review each request individually and respond as promptly as we can. Because donations support programs already under way, refunds are not automatic, but we will always work with a donor in good faith, particularly for a clear processing error or duplicate charge.
How a refund is issued
Approved refunds are processed by Stripe back to the original payment method used for the donation. We cannot issue a refund to a different card, account or payment method. Depending on your bank or card issuer, a refund may take several business days to appear on your statement after it is processed.
Recurring gifts
If you set up a recurring donation and wish to change or cancel future gifts, contact us and we will action that promptly. This policy covers refunds of a gift already given, not the cancellation of future scheduled gifts.
Contact us
Reach our team about a donation through our contact page, and we'll follow up from there.
